The Effect of Generating Interactions and Six Rules Summarization Strategies on Improving the Eighth Basic Grade Students' Comprehension Skills

Abstract

This Study aims to investigate the effect of generating interactions and six rules summarization strategies on eighth basic grade students' on the Improvement of  reading comprehension skills in Jordan, A quasi-experimental design was used, and built Multiple-choice test, the Sample was (109) Students, divided to three groups: two experimental group, the first one teached by Generating Interactions strategy, and the other one by six rules summarization strategy, and control group, teached by conventional strategy, The researchers  used One Way ANCOVA, MANCOVA, and Bonferroni Test, The results showed significant differences in favor of  the two experimental group in literal level, and outperformed the first experimental group on the second experimental group. The researchers recommend the necessity of habituate the students to become critical readers.
