Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of freedom practice for graduate students in the college of education at Yarmouk University. The study sample consisted of (312) students from graduate students in the college of education. The researchers used the survey methodology. A questionnaire was developed as a study tool to collect data. The results of the study showed that estimates the members of the study sample to the degree of exercising freedom came high, and the results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean estimates of the sample members on the study tool due to the gender variable and in favor of males.  The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the means of the sample’s estimates on the study instrument due to the variable of the academic level and for the benefit of Ph.D. students. The researchers recommend the need to enhance the freedom of students to write and discuss research and provide financial support and incentives to complete their projects.
