Roles of Secondary School Principals in Al-Mafraq Governorate in the Active School Indicators

Abstract

This study aimed to get acquainted roles of secondary school principals in Al-Mafraq governorate in the active school indicators. The study population consisted of all male and female teachers of secondary schools affiliated to the directorates of education in the Kasbah of  Al-Mafraq during the first semester of the academic year (2019/2020), as the study sample was chosen in a simple random way consisting of (354) male and female teachers. The study used the descriptive survey methodology. The results showed that the roles of secondary school principals in applying effective school indicators from the point of view of their teachers in the Kasbah of Al-Mafraq were medium. It also showed that there were statistically significant differences according to the variable of the gender study in the fields (planning, organizing, directing, administrative reports, decision-making, and evaluation) in favor of males. And the presence of statistically significant differences according to the gender variable in the field of (control) for females, and the presence of statistically significant differences according to the gender variable in the tool as a whole in favor of males. The study recommended that the effective school indicators for secondary school principals in the Kasbah of Al-Mafraq be applied more closely, and the result of this study was put before the stakeholders from the Ministry of Education and the Directorate of Education for the Kasbah of Al-Mafraq to try to improve the process of the principals' application of effective school indicators.
