Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the predictiability of life skills in predicting psychological resilience and mental health among Spinal cord injury patients (SCI) in Jordan.The sample consisted of 70 SCI from members of SCI association. To achieve the study goals ,the researchers developed measures of psychological resilience, mental health, and life skills measure of The results showed that life skills and mental health were at an medium level for people with spinal cord injury, while psychological resilience was at a low level, as well as there is a statistically significant correlation between life skills, psychological resilience and mental health, and there is a predictive relationship between of life skills and improvement of psychological resilience and mental health. The study recommended conducting future studies on the relationship between life skills and improving psychological resilience and mental health among groups of patients with chronic diseases.
