The Effectiveness of an Educational Program Based on the Narrative Approach in Improving Awareness of Feelings in Jordanian Kindergarten Children in Jordan

The main purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of an educational program based on the Narrative approach in improving awareness of feelings among kindergarten children in Jordan. The study sample was randomly chosen and consisted of (41) boys and girls enrolled in Ministry of Education Governmental kindergartens. The sample consisted of two groups of children: experimental (21) and control (20). To achieve the objectives of the study, a feelings scale for young children was developed. It consisted of (28) items. The results of the study revealed statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) due to the Narrative educational program in favor of the study’s experimental group. The results showed no statistically significant difference a (α=0.05) due to gender in improving awareness and expression of feelings.
