Emotional Expressions and its Relationship to Leadership Skills among Middle Childhood Students in Jordan

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of emotional expressions and leadership skills, as well as to examine the relationship between emotional expressions and leadership skills among middle childhood students in Jordan. A sample of 299 students from the first, second, and third grades in Amman was selected using a stratified random sampling method. The study adopted a descriptive correlational methodology and utilized the emotional expressions scale by (Ersan, & Tok, 2019), which consisted of four main domains: happiness, sadness, anger, and fear. Additionally, the study employed the leadership skills scale, developed by the researchers, which consists of five main dimensions. The results indicated that the level of emotional expressions among middle childhood students was moderate, and the level of leadership skills was high and that there was a significant relationship between emotional expressions and leadership skills.
