The study aimed to reveal the impact of a program based on Interactive Activities on the development of functional writing skills (lingual, content and forming skills) among Non-Native Arabic Language Learners at the University of Jordan. A quasi-experimental designed experimental approach was followed, and the study participants consisted of advanced-level Non-Native Arabic Language Learners at the Language Center of the University of Jordan, totaling nine individuals who underwent the program based on interactive activities. Data were collected using a functional writing skills observation checklist in a pre-and-post applied essay test that consisted of three test scenarios in which learners wrote a summary, a report, and instructions. The results of the (Wilcoxon) test revealed statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≥ 0.05) between the rank rates of the participants’ scores in the pre- and post- application of the observation checklist, favoring the post-application. This indicates the effectiveness of the program based on interactive activities in enhancing functional writing skills (lingual, content and forming skills) among the study participants.
