The Extent to Which Faculty Members at the University of Nizwa Possess Qualitative Research Skills and their Attitudes towards It

The study aimed to identify the degree to which faculty members at the University of Nizwa possess qualitative research skills and their attitudes towards it., as the descriptive methodology was followed, the study instrument consisted of three sections: the first for demographic variables, the second for qualitative research skills (59 items), and the third for attitudes toward qualitative research (23 items). After verifying its psychometric properties, the instrument was applied to the study sample, which consisted of (101) faculty members from University of Nizwa. The results showed that the degree which faculty members possess qualitative research skills was moderate. Similarly, their attitudes toward qualitative research was also moderate. No statistically significant differences were found in the mean scores of faculty members' qualitative research skills or their attitudes toward it based on gender, academic qualification, or academic experience.
