This study investigated the impact of an instructional program based on using web-enhanced language learning (WELL) on Jordanian EFL tenth-grade female students’ writing skills. A quasi-experimental methodology was followed during the second semester of the scholastic year 2023-2024 in Al-Jami’ah Directorate of Education. The participants of the study were 44 students in two sections who were randomly distributed to a control group (22 students) and an experimental group (22 students). A comprehensive writing achievement test (pre-post test) was used and the data were analyzed using means, standard deviations and ANCOVA.
The findings showed a statistically significant difference (α=0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups regarding writing skills in favor of the experimental group. These results indicate that the instructional program based on WELL had a positive impact on students’ writing skills. Therefore, the study recommended that stakeholders should consider implementing WELL in teaching English effectively.
