The Degree of Prevalence of Administrative Toxicity in the Directorates of Education in Palestine and its Relationship to Some Variables

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the degree of prevalence of administrative toxicity in the directorates of education in Palestine. To achieve the objective of the study, a 55-item questionnaire was developed, distributed over four areas: toxic leadership, toxic work environment, toxic individuals, and deviant behaviors in the workplace. The study sample consisted of (322) employees. The results showed that the degree of prevalence of administrative toxicity in the directorates of education in Palestine from the point of view of their employees was medium, as the mean was (2.43), with a standard deviation of (0.77). The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the variables of: job title, educational qualification, and the existence of statistically significant differences attributed to variables: gender and in favor of males, years of experience in favor of years more than 10 years, and the educational district in favor of the south. In light of this, the researchers recommended measures to prevent administrative toxicity.
