A proposed Vision for Developing Educational Policies in the Sultanate of Oman in Light of the Requirements of Artificial Intelligence

This study represents a small contribution towards developing the educational process, It aimed to develop a proposed vision for developing educational policies in the Sultanate of Oman considering the requirements of artificial intelligence. The study relied on the descriptive methodology, The qualitative methodology was also used through interviews conducted with (30) participants according to a standardized form as an interview tool, The researcher identified a number of requirements necessary for developing educational policy in light of artificial intelligence, including: the legislative and regulatory structure, the technical infrastructure, human capacity building, funding and institutional support, societal and cultural readiness, change management, and strategic planning.
In light of the study’s findings, it recommended a number of important recommendations, the most important of which are: forming a higher national committee to develop educational policies and develop a strategic plan in light of artificial intelligence, Establishing an infrastructure in educational institutions in the Sultanate of Oman that is compatible with modern technology and the requirements for applying artificial intelligence in education.
