This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of an educational program based on principles of TRIZ theory in developing scientific research skills in geology among secondary school students in Kuwait. Researchers used an experimental metholology with a quasi-experimental. The study sample consisted of (50) students from the eleventh grade/science branch in Al-Jahra Governorate in Kuwait who were distributed into two groups: an experimental group with (25) students, and a control group with (25) students, Scientific research skills scale prepared by the researchers. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the responses of the students in favor of the experimental group. They also showed that there was a significant impact of teaching using the TRIZ theory method on scientific research skills. A number of recommendations were proposed, including: Increasing the curriculum designer’s awareness of the importance of employing the TRIZ theory principles in developing scientific research skills, conducting a similar study at different age stages.
