The Level of Positive Thinking among University Students with Different Levels of Achievement Motivation

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of positive thinking among the students of the University of Jordan, and to investigate the difference in the level of positive thinking according to the level of achievement motivation, to achieve the objectives of the study, the deuriptive correlational methodology was used. 180 Two scales were utilized, the first was for positive thinking and the second wes for achievement motivation, The validity and reliability, of the two scales werw verified and then applied to a random stratified sample consisting of (600) male and female students from the University of Jordan.

The results showed that the mean of positive thinking among the students of the University of Jordan for the total score and dimensions were all at a high level, The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the level of positive thinking due to the levels of achievement motivation, where the differences were in favor of the high compared to the average and low, and in favor of the average compared to the low.
