The Degree of Availability of Competitive Advantage in Palestinian Universities in Light of the Principles of Internationalization of Higher Education and its Relationship to some Variables

The study aimed to identify the degree of availability competitive advantage in Palestinian universities in light of the principles of internationalization of higher education. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey methodology was used. The study population consisted of all academic leaders in Palestinian universities, numbering (658) leaders. The sample which numbered (247) was selected using the random cluster method. The results of the study indicated that the degree of availability of competitive advantage in Palestinian universities in light of the principles of internationalization of higher education was moderate. There were also no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the perceptions of the study sample members for the degree of competitive advantage in Palestinian universities in light of the principles of internationalization of higher education attributed to the variables of university type, job title, and academic rank. In light of the results revealed by the study, the researchers recommended that Palestinian Universities should adopt clear strategies for internationalizing their educational, research, and service activities in a way that enhances their competitiveness and global ranking.
