Work Stress of Public Primary School Teachers at Jerash Governorate and its ‎Relationship to their Professional Roles

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the work stresses of public basic school teachers in ‎Jerash Governorate and its relationship to their professional roles. The researcher used the descriptive correlational Methodology. For collecting data, the researcher developed a questionnaire after detecting the validity and reliability. The sample of the study is‎consisted of (467) public principals and teachers schools, The results showed that the level of work stress ‎and professional roles among public basic school teachers in Jerash Governorate came to ‎a large degree, and there was a positive correlation with statistical significance between ‎the estimates of the study sample on the items of the work stress scale combined.  And ‎their estimates on the items of the scale of professional roles taken together. In light ‎of the results, the study recommended reducing work stress on basic school teachers ‎through the appointment of trained teaching and administrative cadres that contribute ‎to carry out the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them.
