Abstract

The study aimed to determine the degree to which faculty members in Jordanian universities apply quality standards in graduate programs considering international quality standards. The researchers used a descriptive methodology and collected the data by using a questionnaire as a data-gathering tool that consisted of (56) items divided into seven domains. The sample of the study consisted of (103) faculty members at public Jordanian universities. The results indicated that the degree of application of quality standards in postgraduate programs in Jordanian universities from the faculty members’ point of view was medium. The order of the sections of study is as follows: (the quality and supervision of faculty members for the programs, the quality of the teaching and learning processes, the quality of the content and curricula of the graduate programs, the quality of the evaluation methods used, the policies, vision, mission and objectives, the quality of the scientific research, quality of graduates and their sufficiency, etc.) The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) to the responses of the study sample due to the variable of the facility position level, years of experience, and college. However, that was in exception of the university variable, there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤ 0.05).
