Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the requirements of administrative empowerment of female leaders at King Khalid University from the viewpoint of female teaching staff members. The study adopted the descriptive survey methodology, and applied a questionnaire to (112) faculty members at King Khalid University. The results of the study showed the following: the degrees of the availability of the requirements of administrative empowerment of female leaders for the dimensions of (work teams, training and teaching leaders, supporting and encouraging leaders, and administrative leadership) came as available to some extent. The degrees of their practice were average and needed improvement. The degrees of the obstacles of administrative empowerment of female leaders regarding the dimensions of (personality, work environment and society) came as available to a great extent in reality. There was also an inverse relationship between the two axes of the study, which means that the availability of the requirements of administrative empowerment of female leaders reduce obstacles. The study recommended that the culture of administrative empowerment is to be spread through workshops and seminars, and participating in taking decisions as well as promoting material and moral incentives according to their responsibilities.
