Participatory Leadership of Public School Principals in Palestine and its Relationship to their Teachers’ Job Satisfaction

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree to which public school principals in Palestine practice participatory leadership and its relationship to the job satisfaction of the teachers working with them. The study sample consisted of )321( teachers. The results indicated that the degree of participatory leadership practiced by public school principals in Palestine is high, and that teachers’ job satisfaction is high. Furthermore, the study revealed a positive correlation between principals’ participatory leadership and teachers’ job satisfaction. Among the key recommendations is the need to develop school leadership by enrolling principals in training courses on modern leadership styles and job satisfaction.
